Site map is a very common word and is heard so often, yet not many people know what it is and how it is created.  A site map is basically “one page or a set of pages that lists all or most of the pages on a website.”  The ultimate purpose of a site map for a website is the information.   • Open a web project in Visual Source Safe Explorer.
  • Click ‘ Create Site Map’ button that is available on the web menu.
  • In the ‘Create Site Map for <name> dialog box’ , create a file with a certain name.
  • Select the  Check in to Visual Source Safe check box for the final processing of your site map.
  • Finally, click ‘ OK’ to create the specified file. Thus your file is created and comes in the database.

The good site map is the one that has the simply written pages on your website. The language of the pages play a key role in increasing the traffic to your website. Readers never like going through the pages which don’t contain the attractive language. Secondly, it is important that don’t give a fancy name to your site map because the visitors are very clever and they can easily understand what you mean.

A link to a site map is very important, hence all pages should a link. Sometime the readers want to go through the links and read the entire information. Finally, the link color should be different from the color of those links which have already been visited.
