I was reading an article on HR. here is the quote that I liked a lot: HR is finally garnering respect in companies of all sizes and across many industries. “CEOs and boards of directors are learning that human resources can be one of your biggest game-changers in terms of competitive advantage,” says Donovan. His boss is counting on it. ” The success of the strategy rests in people’s execution,” Nardelli says. “That’s why the HR manager has to be an equal partner at the strategic table.”
This quote very well defines the importance of HR in the business world! In order to be a HR, one must have the following qualities:
- The concerned person must have good knowledge of HR Practices. He should hold a professional degree in the HR field to be compatible with a job.
- He must be simple and approachable to everybody so that employees can tell him their problems and suggestions.
- The person should be co-operative
- he should be well behaved and at the same time keep a good behavior with all employees
- He should be well mannered and should have decency to deal with employers, employees and clients.
- The person should have a good leading skills
- He should have the skills of a good counselor so that he or she can assist in any unwanted situation.
- He should have ample amount of knowledge of computers, especially about Excel because he has to calculate salaries and give them at proper time. He has to keep a record of the progress of employees and should have a perfect working knowledge of Excel
- Good knowledge of Legal aspects… and so on..
