Tips to Get Repeat Web Traffic

  1. You must update your website on a regular basis. Stagnant sites are always dropped by certain search engines. If you wish you can put a date on your website to show the date when it was last updated.
  2. you must provide additional value on your website. You can place the links of the websites of your partners and collaborators on your website, and ask them to do the same for you. You can also advertise for their books or videos, if these products or services are any how related to your industry. But make sure that they are not in competition with your own product.
  3. You can lure your target audience to ‘opt in’ if they want to have loads of discounts and special offers. You can place a particular link on your site to invite customers to ‘opt in’ to get a monthly newsletter or different services that you might offer.
Make sure that you add a link to your primary page with a script ‘Book Mark or may be add this site to your Favorites’.
  4. You must add a link like  ‘Recommend this site to a Friend’ or “Forward the information to your friends” so that the visitor can email your website link, with a pre-written title, “So you are interested in this” or something like that, just by clicking on it.
  5. Always brand your site so that the users may know they are on your site. Use significant identities like different colors, logos and slogans and always provide a ‘Contact Us’ link on every web page. This will create a brand recall.
  6. Add a ‘Our Policies’ page that will clearly depict your philosophy and principles to your  target customers. Also give a link of your “privacy policy” so that your clients may know that they are secure in all cases, when they visit your site.
  7. Add a “Frequently asked Questions” page which can clear most of the doubts and clarifications about your products, services and even about the company, that are likely to be asked. This helps to resolve most of the customers doubts in first visit itself.
  8. Make sure that your web pages have proper titles and keywords so that your customer can find their way back to the home page if they lose the track.
  9. Make it clear that you should never spam a client, the one who has opted for newsletters, with unsolicited emails. Later if they decide that they really want to ‘opt out’ of the mailings, be sure that you take their request seriously and take them off the mailing list with honor. They may still come back later if they are in need of your products or services. But they will certainly not “opt in” if you will flock their inbox with lots of emails that they no longer wish to receive.
