What To Eat In Your Car
When it comes it long road trips, one thing that comes to our mind is snack or what to take for snacking in the car so that the time passes by easily. Some people also indulge in snacking in the car who suffer fro low blood sugar and need to snack throughout the day. However, one should not have any kind of snack while driving the car, when both the hands are required to be on the steering wheel. So, what kinds of food are best to eat when we drive the car?
As you are required to put your both hands on the steering wheel and two eyes on the road, obviously sandwich or a hot cup of coffee can’t be ideal snack for a driver. However, if you have someone else with you, he or she can help you at least by passing you a cup of coffee or unwrapping little meals. If this is not the best option, then which kinds of food you should eat? Well, the ideal road food items are those that need no refrigeration, and you even don’t want others help in order to eat them. Those items that also need no utensils other than a paper napkin. They should also be easy to carry and easy to eat.
Conveniency of course, is the main concern, however, health concern can’t be denied. Therefore, snacks like chips and sweets are also not recommended, instead you can have fruit such as bananas, sliced apples, berries, grapes and peeled and segmented oranges and much more. You can also opt for chopped veggies, such as carrot sticks and cucumber rounds.
Wholegrain crackers are also a great car snack. You can have them with sliced cheese, ham or peanut butter. You can also have sandwiches, but they should cut into small pieces so that you will not have to use your both hands. Some other amazing road snacks include, mini sausages, tiny pies, little meatballs, and Scotch eggs.
When you pack your snacks for road, make sure you have easy packing so that you can unwrap it easily. Also, take a small plastic bag in your car to dispose wrappings, peels and pips and then throw these away in a proper bin.
